The 4th International Marine Engineering Equipment Science and Technology Innovation Competition, co-sponsored by the Teaching Guidance Committee for Marine Science Majors in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, the Teaching Guidance Committee for Marine Engineering Majors in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, the Ocean Education Branch of the China Pacific Society, the China Ocean Engineering Consulting Association and Ocean University of China, has been launched. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
- Purpose of the competition
The competition aims to cultivate international marine technology innovation talents, closely combining the actual situation of marine engineering and marine scientific research. Through the technological innovation design of marine engineering equipment, it guides participants to deepen their understanding of the ocean, cultivate their ocean sentiment, international perspective, innovative spirit and practical ability, and create a good atmosphere for the whole society to pay attention to the ocean, understand the ocean, love the ocean, protect the ocean, and experience the ocean.

This competition consists of three categories: science fiction category, design category, and simulation category. Science fiction and design categories are divided into university group, and primary and secondary school group, and simulation category is divided into university group.
- Competition registration
This competition adopts online registration method, with each participating team as the unit. The registration website is: http://47.105.161.112.
Deadline for fore- registration: August 20, 2023.
- Schedule
6.1 Preliminary competition time
Science fiction and design categories: Submit works and problem-solving instructions according to the competition rules before 23:59 on October 7, 2023;
Simulation category: From August 14th to 23:59 of September 10th, 2023, upload the preliminary results through the simulation platform.
6.2 Announcement time of preliminary results
Science fiction and design categories: October 14, 2023;
Simulation category: September 14, 2023.
6.3 Final time
Late October 2023. The specific time will be notified separately.
- Award settings
The competition sets up special prizes, first prizes, second prizes, and shortlisted prizes.
- Note
8.1 The preliminary round of this competition adopts online evaluation, while the final round adopts offline roadshow evaluation. The final and award ceremony will be held in Qingdao in October.
8.2 There is no need to fill out a problem solving manual for simulation category. The simulation platform will be available for download on the official website of the competition on August 14, 2023. The participating team must complete the task on the simulation platform and upload the preliminary results. The team that enters the finals must package and send the executable exe file to the competition email, gjhygczb@163.com, within the specified time. The final will be held through online live streaming.
8.3 If there are classified items, please declassify them before applying.
